In 2017, the University of Kent was nominated amongst 2 other universities for the respected Alumni Engagement Award in the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards (THELMAs).
The Kent Experiences of Work Network (KEW-NET) platform, was developed by Aluminati for Kent’s Careers and Employability Service and Development Office, in order to facilitate networking and mentoring between the University’s global alumni community and current students. The platform has greatly enhanced the University’s innovation, alumni engagement and stewardship, volunteer opportunities, employability and the discovery of new prospective donors.
It is wonderful to see the online platform as a key tool to help Kent towards achieving significant institutional objectives and in strengthening their support and offering to their alumni base and student body. We are delighted that with this award nomination, the hardworking teams at Kent that drive forward and manage the network can be recognised.
