Aluminati has built a bespoke website system for clubs and societies of Haileybury and Imperial Service College, an independent school near Hertford. The new initiative allows Old Haileyburian clubs to have their own free-of-charge microsite within the Haileybury Society (hailsoc.net) framework.
The Haileybury Society is the association for the 150-year-old college, open to former pupils and past and present members of staff. It is a registered charity and has some 8,500 members in the UK and overseas.
Clubs can now upload photographs to a gallery and post news, forthcoming event information, and match reports.
The Aluminati-designed system went live during March and already includes information from the Hermits – the Old Boys’ cricket team – which has started creating its own microsite athttp://www.hailsoc.net/clubs/Cricket. The Football Society has also started to create its own site which is soon to go live.
Members of the Haileybury Society are delighted with their new site. “Our aim is to promote educational objectives in connection with Haileybury so as to form a bond of union between the School and the Society and to develop and strengthen the spirit of service to the Haileyburian community. The new site allows us the opportunity to do exactly this – it is extremely flexible and simple to use for both clubs and those who want to access the information,” said Robin Bishop, General Secretary of the Haileybury Society.
Originally a boys’ public school, Haileybury is now co-educational, enrolling pupils at 11+, 13+ and 16+ stages of education. Over 760 pupils attend the college, of whom more than 500 board.
