Elevating Career Development within your Campus Culture

This presentation will provide an overview of how Clarion University elevated the career centre within their campus culture before integration, while simultaneously developing a new career readiness culture for PennWest by leveraging best practices from all three legacy campuses. The ideas shared will allow practitioners to identify strategies to aid in elevating career centres regardless of organizational alignment or location.

The Speaker
Dr. Josh Domitrovich
Executive Director of the Center for Career and Professional Development
Pennsylvania Western University
Josh is a first-generation college student and military veteran with ten years of higher education experience, specializing in career coaching, mentoring programs and software, gamification techniques, innovation, and data assessment. As the inaugural Executive Director of the newly integrated PennWest University career centre, he practices authentic and servant leadership strategies to support his team across three geographically separated career centres and the career readiness of 14,000 students using a shared service model.
As a NACE-certified career coach, Josh has presented his work to national and international audiences and recently published his dissertation titled, “Student Engagement: A Quantitative Investigation into Gamification’s Impact on Student Perceptions to Use Career Services”. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management and an MBA from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Leadership from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
